Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Store Manager to oversee warehouse and inventory operations for our construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the receipt, storage, inventory control, and timely issuance of construction materials, equipment, tools, and consumables while ensuring stock accuracy, cost control, and uninterrupted project operations.Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the central warehouse/store.
- Receive, inspect, verify, and record incoming construction materials.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and preservation of materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP systems or Microsoft Excel.
- Verify materials against Purchase Orders (PO), Delivery Challans, and Goods Received Notes (GRNs).
- Issue materials only against approved Material Requisition Notes (MRNs).
- Maintain Bin Cards / Stock Registers, Gate Passes, and Material Return Records.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock verification and reconciliation.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain minimum and maximum stock levels for critical construction materials.
- Implement FIFO/LIFO inventory practices where applicable.
- Supervise Helpers, Loaders, and other warehouse staff.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Project Managers, Site Engineers, Logistics, and Accounts departments.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, warehouse safety, and compliance with company policies.
- Prepare inventory, consumption, stock variance, and management reports.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in warehouse, stores, or inventory management within the construction or infrastructure sector.
