The consultancy focuses on guiding students through every stage of the international admissions process, from initial counseling to final enrollment. StudyAtlas works with institutions and partners in multiple countries, including the UK and Germany, to offer accurate and up-to-date information on programs and requirements.


Role Description The UK & Germany Counsellor is a contract, on-site role based in Kathmandu, responsible for advising prospective students on study opportunities in the United Kingdom and Germany. On a day-to-day basis, the counsellor will conduct one-on-one counseling sessions, assess students’ academic profiles and interests, and recommend suitable universities and programs. The role involves guiding students through application and documentation processes, explaining admission requirements, fees, and visa procedures, and maintaining accurate records of all interactions. The counsellor will also coordinate with international institutions and internal teams, support outreach activities such as seminars or information sessions, and ensure timely follow-up and service quality. The position requires consistent in-person engagement with students and families at the Kathmandu office and occasional collaboration with external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Strong counseling and advisory skills with the ability to understand student needs and provide clear, unbiased guidance on UK and Germany study options.
  • Knowledge of UK and German higher education systems, admission processes, documentation requirements, and basic student visa procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including proficiency in spoken and written English; fluency in local languages is an advantage.
  • Comfort working in an on-site, student-facing environment in Kathmandu, with a professional and service-oriented approach.
  • Prior experience in education consulting, international admissions, or academic advising is highly beneficial.
  • Demonstrated integrity, cultural sensitivity, and commitment to non-discriminatory, inclusive student support.
