Company Description Hope Hermitage Elderly Care is a dedicated residential care center focused on supporting the physical, mental, and psychological well-being of older adults. The organization offers a dignified, comfortable, and engaging environment where residents can enjoy their later years free from daily chores and surrounded by a supportive community. Services include a senior citizens’ home, day care center, club membership, in-home caregiver support, physiotherapy, and recreational activities. Specialized wings provide Alzheimer’s and related dementia residential care, as well as assisted living services tailored to individual needs. Medical and health-related services are supported in coordination with Norvic International Hospital, ensuring comprehensive and continuous care.
Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Staff Nurse role based in Kathmandu. The Staff Nurse will provide direct nursing care to elderly residents, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, assisting with activities of daily living, and supporting mobility and comfort. The role involves implementing care plans, documenting clinical observations, coordinating with physicians and allied health professionals, and responding promptly to health changes or emergencies. The Staff Nurse will educate residents and families on health management, promote adherence to treatment plans, and support specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other age-related conditions. Additional responsibilities include maintaining infection control standards, ensuring a safe and respectful environment, and participating in resident activities that promote well-being and social engagement.
Qualifications
  • Valid nursing registration/license and completed nursing education (e.g., Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing).
  • Experience in geriatric, long-term, or residential care settings, with familiarity in supporting individuals with Alzheimer’s and related dementia.
  • Strong clinical skills in basic nursing procedures, medication administration, wound care, and monitoring chronic conditions.
  • Ability to maintain accurate nursing documentation, follow care plans, and coordinate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Excellent communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills to support residents, families, and colleagues in a respectful, culturally sensitive manner.
  • Knowledge of infection prevention and control practices, patient safety standards, and emergency response protocols.
  • Capacity to work flexible part-time shifts, including weekends or evenings if required, and to manage physical tasks associated with elderly care.
  • Basic computer literacy for electronic records and reporting; prior experience in a hospital-affiliated or care-home environment is an advantage.
