Job DescriptionOur Client, Fishtail Dairy is seeking an experienced, disciplined, and result-oriented Production In-Charge to lead and oversee manufacturing operations at our factory in Pokhara. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in production management, strong leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of multinational manufacturing standards, quality systems, and operational excellence. The role will be responsible for driving productivity, ensuring quality compliance, optimizing resources, and fostering a culture of discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, supervise, and control daily production operations to achieve production targets efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS), GMP, HACCP, food safety standards, hygiene requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve operational consistency and efficiency.
- Monitor production performance through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and take corrective actions when required.
- Lead manpower planning, workforce allocation, and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and cost control.
- Conduct root cause analysis of production issues and implement preventive and corrective actions.
- Ensure effective utilization and maintenance of machinery, equipment, and production resources.
- Maintain high standards of workplace safety, quality, and operational discipline.
- Train, mentor, and develop production personnel to enhance skills, performance, and accountability.
- Coordinate closely with Quality, Maintenance, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth factory operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best manufacturing practices aligned with international standards.
- Prepare and submit regular production reports, performance analyses, and improvement recommendations to management.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Industrial Management, Food Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in production or manufacturing operations.
- Strong exposure to multinational manufacturing environments and operational standards.
- Proven experience in production planning, process control, quality management, and team leadership.
- Sound knowledge of GMP, HACCP, Quality Management Systems, food safety standards, and manufacturing best practices.
- Experience in implementing SOPs, performance monitoring systems, and continuous improvement programs.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Retired or early retired professionals from multinational organizations such as Coca-Cola Bottlers Nepal, Pepsi, Gorkha Brewery, Surya Nepal, or similar manufacturing companies.
- Demonstrated ability to establish a culture of operational discipline, accountability, and high performance.
- Capable of bringing a multinational mindset and transforming factory operations to international standards.
