Location: Ambition Guru College, Putalisadak, Kathmandu 

Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Sunday to Friday) 

 

Job Summary 


The College Placement Officer will be responsible for supporting and managing the placement and career development activities of Ambition Guru College students, particularly from technical and IT-related programs. The role requires a candidate with a strong understanding of the technology industry, student career pathways, and workplace readiness. 


The ideal candidate should be capable of mentoring students, coordinating with technical teams and hiring managers, and guiding students toward suitable internship and employment opportunities within Ambition Guru Pvt. Ltd. and affiliated organizations. 


 

Key Responsibilities 


  • Coordinate and manage the overall student placement and internship process for technical and non-technical programs. 
  • Guide students in career planning, resume building, portfolio preparation, interview readiness, and professional communication. 
  • Conduct individual and group counselling sessions focused on career opportunities in IT, software development, digital products, and emerging technologies. 
  • Organize placement drives, technical career workshops, mock interviews, and industry interaction sessions. 
  • Coordinate with internal technical departments, project managers, and hiring teams to identify suitable opportunities for students. 
  • Track student performance, placement progress, internship records, and hiring outcomes. 
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and faculty members regarding placement activities and career development initiatives. 
  • Stay updated with current technology industry trends, in-demand skills, and entry-level hiring requirements. 
  • Support students in transitioning from academic learning to workplace environments through mentorship and career guidance. 
  • Gather placement feedback and prepare reports for continuous improvement of placement activities and student employability. 


Qualifications and Requirements 


  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related discipline. 
  • Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in IT recruitment, placement coordination, student counselling, HR, EdTech, or a client-facing technical role. 
  • Strong understanding of the software industry, technical job roles, and emerging technology trends. 
  • Excellent communication, counselling, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Ability to engage effectively with students, parents, faculty members, and technical teams. 
  • Strong organizational and documentation abilities. 
  • Familiarity with technical domains such as Software Development, UI/UX, QA, Data, AI, or Digital Products will be an added advantage. 
  • Empathetic, approachable, and student-focused personality. 
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
