Role Description The Educational Counselor will work on-site full time at the Kathmandu office, meeting with students and families to understand their academic backgrounds, interests, and aspirations. This role involves providing individualized counseling on study options, career pathways, and international education destinations, while helping students select suitable courses, institutions, and countries. The counselor will guide applicants through admission processes, documentation, test preparation timelines, and visa requirements, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all steps. Daily responsibilities include conducting information sessions, responding to walk-in and online inquiries, maintaining student records, and following up regularly with prospective and enrolled students. The role also supports outreach activities such as seminars, school visits, and coordination with international partner institutions to strengthen relationships and ensure up-to-date program information.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in Educational Consulting and Education, with an understanding of international study pathways and academic systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in Student Counseling, providing individualized guidance to diverse learners and their families.
  • Proficiency in Career Counseling, including helping students align academic choices with long-term professional goals.
  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex processes clearly and respectfully.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field; counseling certifications are an advantage.
  • Ability to build trust, maintain confidentiality, and work effectively with students from varied backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail in documentation and follow-up.
  • Familiarity with international education destinations (e.g., South Korea and other key markets) and admission or visa procedures is preferred.
  • Comfort working with office productivity tools, student databases, and online communication platforms.
