Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented individual to join our team and play a pivotal role in our software project management efforts. You would be a seasoned Project Manager with a strong background in software project management with experience in developing and managing agile sprint plans utilizing Jira. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team and be working with management to ensure tasks are monitored and completed and on time.


Job Description:

As a Software Project Manager, your primary responsibilities will include entering and prioritizing Jira tickets, building and managing Agile sprint plans, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Work closely with teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and define project objectives.
  • Facilitate sprint planning meetings and retrospectives to ensure alignment among team members and management.
  • Create and manage Agile sprint plans, adjusting as necessary to accommodate changing priorities.
  • Utilize Jira to enter, manage, and prioritize tickets, ensuring accurate tracking of tasks and project progress.
  • Prepare and present project reports, metrics, and KPIs.
  • Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders, highlighting progress, challenges, and upcoming milestones.
  • Identify potential risks and communicate to the management team.
  • Foster strong collaboration among Engineering, QA, Design, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to address and resolve issues as they arise.


Job Specification:

Required Skills and Expertise:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Management, Computer Application or related field.
  2. Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Software Project Manager in a software development environment.
  3. Project Management: Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile certifications experience with Scrum/Kanban/Waterfall methodologies and other project management tools.
  4. Tools: Strong familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools, particularly Jira.
  5. SDLC: Solid understanding of software development processes and life cycles.
  6. DevOps: Familiarity with DevOps practices is a plus.
  7. Soft Skills: Excellent English writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
