Job Description
Sprout Education Consultancy is seeking a motivated and experienced Academic Counselor to guide students aspiring to study in Canada. The ideal candidate will support students throughout the admission and visa process while ensuring accurate, ethical, and student-focused counseling. Knowledge of the Australian education system will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end counseling for students planning to study in Canada
- Guide students in selecting suitable courses, universities, and career pathways
- Explain admission requirements, eligibility criteria, and application timelines
- Assist students with application preparation, documentation, and submissions
- Support students with visa application processes and interview preparation
- Maintain regular follow-ups with students and parents
- Coordinate with international universities and partner institutions
- Participate in education fairs, seminars, and promotional activities
- Maintain accurate student records in internal systems
- Ensure compliance with company policies and ethical counseling practices
Requirements
- Prior experience in study abroad counseling (Canada preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Canadian admission and visa processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong counseling, persuasion, and student-handling abilities
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
