Procurement Engineer


We are seeking a skilled and motivated Procurement Engineer with more than 2 years of hands-on experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and procuring materials, equipment, and services to support solar projects and BESS development. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage vendor relationships effectively.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end procurement activities for solar EPC projects, including sourcing, purchasing, logistics, and supplier coordination
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop local and international suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors
  • Prepare RFQs/RFPs, conduct techno-commercial evaluations, and negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contract terms
  • Coordinate with engineering, project, finance, QA/QC, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure timely material availability and smooth project execution
  • Handle procurement of solar PV modules, inverters, mounting structures, electrical equipment, cables, transformers, and other BOS materials
  • Manage import/export operations, shipping documentation, customs clearance, freight coordination, and LC/trade finance processes with banks and suppliers
  • Maintain procurement records, vendor databases, contracts, and ensure cost optimization, compliance, quality standards, and timely project delivery

 

Qualifications & Requirements


Required Qualifications

·    Bachelor’s degree Engineering

·    Experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations

·    Knowledge of LC procedures, international procurement, and banking coordination

·    Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills

·    Proficiency in MS Office applications

·    Should have a valid two-wheeler driving license and own vehicle.

 

Experience

• More than 2 years of professional experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain within an engineering or construction environment.


Salary

Salary will be based on experience, qualifications, and competency.
