Job Description


The Role

The Account Assistant supports the Account Managers and Executives in their day-to-day management of a selection of accounts in a client-facing, fast paced environment.


Expectation (within first 12 months)


  • The AA will develop their communication skills, including proactively communicating to the accounts team, internal teams, and other agency stakeholders in a timely manner whilst consistently actioning tasks in relation to deadlines.


  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously with the help of your manager and co-ordinating with internal teams to understand SLAs and timings associated with each task they are assigned to. This requires being highly organized and having the ability to accurately set, manage and meet deadlines.


  • The AA will support the team on internal processes by following the 12 Stage Process during the launch and subsequent management of a campaign. This includes submitting clear and thorough briefs to internal teams, as well as ensuring all documentation is up to date.


  • Having strong attention to detail to ensure a high quality of output for all work that leaves the OMG door, including creatives, decision trees, and working documents, so that work is presented in the best manner to external stakeholders.


  • The AA will be expected to build a basic understanding of the media landscape and what role OMG plays within this by continuously asking questions and joining training sessions to grow their knowledge base.


  • Managing your personal to-do list, and proactively following up on dependencies, ensuring work which is assigned to you is completed in relation to the deadline which is set.


Expectation (beyond 12 months)


  • Understanding the technical process of the campaign set up – including strategy, design, development, ad operations and post-campaign analysis – as well as being confident with OMG core tools and platforms in order to use these when delivering work to clients.


  • Monitoring post-campaign reports at an ongoing basis to ensure it has been set up correctly and delivering activity in line with the agreed strategy.


  • Taking ownership of all ticketing and briefing for specialist teams and ensuring these are filled out correctly to support a seamless delivery of client requests.


  • Being involved in external & client communications across Email, Teams & in-person meetings to begin to build a relationship with stakeholders outside of OMG and gain confidence in delivering status or delivery updates.


  • Being pro-active, instead of reactive, when supporting the accounts team by pre-empting requests from senior members when briefs are shared by client and/or agency partners.


  • Actively contributes to wider OMG workstreams, including raising your hand to assist other teams when needed and getting involved in tasks outside of your daily expectations across your clients.


Qualification, Skills and Competencies


  • Degree major in Accounting and/or Finance
  • 2 years of experience in a related field
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and procedures
  • Intermediate Excel skills
