Job Description
Workstation: Surkhet - 1
Workstation: Jajarkot - 1
This is a full-time, on-site position for our client, a construction and brick manufacturing company. The company is seeking a Mechanical Foreman for the locations Surkhet and Jajarkot.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Machine Operation & Monitoring
● Ensure smooth and efficient operation of the production machine
● Monitor machine performance at regular intervals (every 30–60 minutes)
● Maintain stable hydraulic pressure, machine cycle time, and alignment
● Detect and address abnormalities such as vibration, leakage, or sensor issues
2. Preventive Maintenance
● Conduct daily pre-operation inspection
● Perform routine maintenance during scheduled downtime
● Tasks include:
- Cleaning press molds
- Lubricating moving parts
- Tightening bolts and fittings
- Inspecting hydraulic systems and sensors
3. Breakdown & Troubleshooting
● Identify mechanical issues quickly and accurately
● Stop machinery immediately in case of critical faults
● Perform repairs or coordinate with technical teams
● Ensure machine is safe before restarting
4. Production Support
● Support operators during technical issues
● Ensure machine performance meets production targets
● Monitor synchronization of machine components (e.g., pallet feeding system)
5. Safety Compliance
● Enforce strict adherence to safety procedures
● Follow lockout/tagout procedures during maintenance
● Ensure PPE usage at all times
● Never bypass safety systems or operate faulty machinery
6. Reporting & Documentation
● Maintain daily maintenance and downtime records
● Document:
- Machine downtime
- Maintenance performed
- Issues detected and repairs completed
- Report major issues to Factory In Charge
7. End-of-Day Procedures
● Inspect machine condition
● Ensure cleaning and lubrication are completed
● Record all maintenance activities
● Prepare machine for next day’s operation
Key Skills & Competencies:
1. Minimum 3 years experience in mechanical maintenance or industrial equipment
2. Technical training in machinery or hydraulics preferred
3. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems
4. Understanding of hydraulic systems (approx. 3000 PSI standard)
5. Troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
6. Preventive maintenance expertise
7. Ability to perform manual inspections
8. Capable of lifting and handling machine parts
9. Comfortable working in an industrial environment
