Job Description
- Must have proven experience working in the cement industry, particularly in managing heavy vehicles and mobile equipment used in plant operations.
- Oversee maintenance and operation of heavy vehicles such as dump trucks, loaders, excavators, forklifts, and transit mixers.
- Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance schedules for all automotive equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults in vehicles and ensure timely repairs.
- Ensure maximum availability and reliability of mobile equipment to support plant and mining operations.
- Monitor fuel consumption, lubrication, and overall performance of vehicles to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
- Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, spare parts usage, and equipment history.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies.
- Coordinate with procurement for spare parts and inventory management.
- Supervise workshop staff, mechanics, and operators to ensure quality work and safe practices.
- Implement best practices for fleet management and cost control.
