Job Description
Holiday Inn Express Pokhara is a modern, internationally branded hotel located near Lakeside Road, close to Pokhara’s key tourist and commercial areas. The hotel offers 90 comfortable guest rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, bar & lounge, lobby lounge, a 213 sqm meeting and events space, and a fitness centre.

You will in charge of engineering functions on a shift, which encompasses operation and maintenance of all facilities; equipment, machineries and building, of the hotel, in order to achieve guest satisfaction, employee satisfaction and provide a safe and well-maintained environment.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

  • Oversee and monitor the operation and adjust of HVAC equipment and systems, electrical equipment and systems and plumbing equipment and systems
  • Performs predictive, planned, preventative and routine maintenance equipment rounds and service requests as directed
  • Oversee and monitor the operation and adjust of refrigeration, heat exchanger, HVAC equipment and systems, electrical, and hot water systems
  • Perform assigned facility inspections, oversee vendor work and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations
  • Demonstrates safe practice in the use of equipment and makes recommendations and improvement of safety

What we need from you

  • Some college or advanced vocational training
  • Four years’ experience in general building maintenance and/or construction or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Specialized expertise in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry fields
  • Level 3 EPA Certification, HVAC and refrigeration certificate, licensed plumber and/or journeyman status for electrician and carpenter may be required
  • Hotel experience preferred
