Job Description
Che&Co Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented and resilient Finance Associate to join our project accounting team. This role is designed for a professional who excels in high-stakes environments and can maintain financial integrity amidst the complexities of large-scale infrastructure development.
Core Responsibilities
- Project Cost Control: Monitor and analyze project expenditures against budgets, ensuring all construction and operational costs are accurately tracked.
- Billing & Disbursement: Verify contractor invoices, manage payroll for site-based staff, and ensure timely processing of vendor payments.
- Regulatory & Tax Compliance: Prepare documentation for VAT refunds, Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), and ensure full compliance with local financial regulations.
- Stakeholder Financial Liaison: Support the management of local community compensation funds and CSR-related financial documentation with transparency.
- Audit Readiness: Maintain impeccable digital and physical records to ensure seamless internal and external audits.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBS/MBA or semi-qualified CA/ACCA preferred).
Experience: 2+ years of experience in finance, ideally within the Hydropower, Construction, or Energy sectors.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Tally or similar accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills.
Soft Skills: Strong negotiation skills and the "grit" to handle financial queries from diverse project stakeholders.
