Job Description
  • Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and journals for all company transactions.

  • Assist in setting up meetings, events, and office arrangements.

  • Prepare and analyse financial statements, including profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.

  • Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow regularly.

  • Assist in budget preparation, expense tracking, and financial forecasting.

  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare VAT/GST or income tax returns.

  • Monitor company expenses and provide financial insights to management for decision-making.

  • Prepare reports for management, stakeholders, or regulatory authorities as required.

  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.

  • Handle payroll, including calculation of salaries, deductions, and statutory compliance.

  • Identify discrepancies, errors, or financial irregularities and resolve them efficiently.

  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.

  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to ethical standards.

  • Assist in implementing financial controls, policies, and standard operating procedures.

  • Keep updated with changes in accounting standards, regulations, and software tools.

  • Deliver documents, files, and parcels between departments, offices, and external organisations.

  • Assist with administrative tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and filing.

  • Collect and distribute incoming mail, packages, and correspondence.

  • Support office staff with errands like bank deposits, courier pick-ups, and office supply purchases.

  • Ensure timely delivery of urgent documents and materials.

  • Maintain proper records of deliveries and receipts when required.

Job Specification
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, commerce, or a related field.

  • Prior experience as an accountant, finance officer, or similar role preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP), and practices.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and MS Office.

  • Knowledge of tax laws, VAT/GST, and statutory compliance.

  • Ability to prepare financial statements, reports, and budgets accurately.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for financial data interpretation.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in recording and reporting financial transactions.

  • Time management skills to meet reporting deadlines and handle multiple accounts.

  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and ethical conduct in financial matters.

  • Communication skills to liaise with management, auditors, and other departments.

  • Ability to handle payroll, reconciliations, and audit preparations efficiently.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in regulations, financial processes, and reporting requirements.
