Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the entire accounting and finance function of the organisation.

  • Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and budgets.

  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.

  • Manage cash flow, forecasting, and financial planning.

  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws, VAT regulations, and statutory requirements.

  • Supervise and guide the accounting team; assign tasks and monitor performance.

  • Handle audits (internal and external) and coordinate with auditors.

  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely collections and payments.

  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.

  • Analyse financial data and provide strategic insights to management.

  • Maintain relationships with banks, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies.

  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of financial data.

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial efficiency.

  • Support management in decision-making with accurate financial analysis.

Job Specification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or CA/ACCA preferred)

  • 4–6 years of experience in accounting/finance

  • At least 1–2 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting

  • Good understanding of VAT, tax laws, and statutory compliance (Nepal)

  • Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, Excel, or similar systems)

  • Strong leadership and team management skills

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports

  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Ability to coordinate with auditors, banks, and management

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
