Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and innovative Senior Food Technologist to lead our product development, quality assurance, and process optimization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge of food science, particularly in cereals, grains, and flour-based products, and will play a pivotal role in enhancing product quality, shelf life, and compliance with national and international standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and launch of an innovative rice-based fast food product from concept to commercialization, ensuring quality, scalability, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to FSSAI, HACCP, ISO, and other relevant food safety and quality standards.
  • Supervise and train the quality control team for routine inspections, sampling, and documentation.
  • Develop and validate manufacturing processes, including extrusion, milling, blending, and packaging.
  • Collaborate with procurement and production teams to ensure raw material quality and vendor compliance.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues in production and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain detailed records for traceability, batch testing, and audits.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies for product registration, licensing, and compliance.
  • Evaluate and implement food preservation techniques, fortification, and packaging innovations.
  • Stay abreast of food industry trends and competitor activities to guide strategic product initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in food manufacturing, preferably in grains/flour/pulses or FMCG sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of food laws, labeling norms, and certifications.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in lab testing, sensory analysis, and shelf-life studies.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP software, and food safety documentation.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with automation and process improvement in food manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of export compliance and international quality standards (e.g., CODEX, BRC).
  • Ability to handle audits and interface with government or third-party agencies.
