Job Description

Leela Garden is looking for a dynamic, customer-focused, and experienced Captain to oversee daily food and beverage service operations. The Captain will lead the service team, ensure exceptional guest experiences, maintain service standards, and coordinate with the kitchen and management to ensure smooth restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of service staff to ensure efficient operations.
  • Welcome guests, assist with seating arrangements, and ensure excellent customer service.
  • Take and oversee food and beverage orders, ensuring accuracy and timely service.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen and bar to ensure prompt preparation and delivery of orders.
  • Monitor service quality and ensure compliance with company standards and hygiene practices.
  • Handle guest feedback, complaints, and special requests professionally and efficiently.
  • Train, guide, and motivate waiters and service staff to maintain high service standards.
  • Prepare staff duty rosters and allocate responsibilities during shifts as assigned.
  • Ensure tables, dining areas, and service stations are clean, organized, and properly set.
  • Monitor inventory of service equipment and coordinate replenishment when required.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and daily reporting when assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety regulations.
Job Specification
  • Minimum qualification: +2 (Higher Secondary) or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Captain, Senior Waiter, or in a similar role in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure effectively.
  • Basic knowledge of POS systems and MS Office is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of food and beverage service standards.
  • Fluency in Nepali and English is preferred.
