Position: Senior Assistant – Actuarial Analyst
No. of Vacancy: 1
Location – Head Office, Anamanagar, Kathmandu

Kathmandu Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree running in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative discipline from a recognized university.·

  • Candidates who have qualified in five Actuarial subjects as CS1, CM1, CS2, CB1 and CB2 shall be prioritized. Key Requirements·

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex data.·

  • Knowledge of actuarial principles, statistical modeling, probability, and financial mathematics.·

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of actuarial and analytical tools will be an added advantage.·

  • Good report-writing,  communication, and presentation skills.·

  • Prominent level of accuracy, diligence, and problem-solving ability.·

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.·

  • Willingness to pursue professional actuarial qualifications and continuous professional development.

Job Responsibilities·

  • Assist in actuarial analyses related to pricing, reserving, and portfolio performance.·

  • Support the preparation and validation of actuarial models, assumptions, and data used for technical calculations.·

  • Analyze claims, premium, and exposure data to identify trends and support business decisions.·

  • Assist in the determination and monitoring of technical reserves in accordance with regulatory and accounting requirements.·

  • Prepare actuarial reports, management information, and regulatory submissions.·

  • Support product pricing, product development, and profitability analysis.·

  • Assist in reinsurance analysis, treaty evaluations, and portfolio monitoring.·

  • Perform data validation and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of actuarial data.·

  • Coordinate with underwriting, claims, finance, and IT departmen
