Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory In-charge to oversee inventory operations and ensure optimal stock levels of raw materials, finished goods, spare parts, and packaging materials. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating with production and procurement teams, and implementing effective inventory control procedures to support smooth manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise all inventory-related activities, including receiving, storage, issuance, and dispatch of materials.
Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP or inventory management software.
Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of raw materials, consumables, and finished goods.
Coordinate with the Procurement, Production, and Warehouse teams to ensure uninterrupted production.
Conduct regular physical stock counts and cycle counts to reconcile inventory discrepancies.
Investigate inventory variances and implement corrective and preventive measures.
Ensure proper storage practices and material handling to minimize damage and wastage.
Monitor inventory turnover and recommend strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce carrying costs.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for management review.
Ensure compliance with company policies, inventory control procedures, and safety standards.
Supervise warehouse staff and ensure efficient workflow and adherence to operational procedures.
Coordinate with the Finance department during inventory audits and stock valuation exercises.
Identify opportunities to improve inventory management processes and operational efficiency.
Job Specification
Experience in paper, FMCG, packaging, or manufacturing industries will be an added advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong knowledge of inventory control techniques and warehouse operations.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of FIFO, FEFO, ABC analysis, and inventory optimization techniques.
Experience with inventory audits and stock reconciliation.
Understanding of manufacturing workflows and material planning.
Ability to analyze inventory reports and make data-driven decisions.
