Role Description The Legal Associate at Strategic Advisors is a full-time, on-site role based in Kathmandu. This role involves drafting, reviewing, and organizing legal documents and contracts related to the firm’s financial services and advisory activities. The Legal Associate will research and analyze relevant laws, regulations, and case precedents to support internal teams and ensure compliance with local and applicable international standards. Daily work includes identifying and assessing legal issues, preparing summaries and recommendations, and supporting client-facing teams with clear legal guidance. The position also requires regular communication with internal stakeholders, assisting in policy development, and maintaining accurate legal records and documentation.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Law, with knowledge of financial services regulations and corporate law.
- Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, reviewing, and organizing contracts and agreements.
- Excellent Analytical Skills for interpreting statutes, regulations, and case law, and assessing legal risks.
- Effective Communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaborating with internal teams and explaining legal concepts clearly.
- Ability to identify, assess, and address Legal Issues related to advisory services, compliance, and client engagements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent; advanced legal qualifications or bar admission are an advantage.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
- Proficiency in standard office software and ability to work with legal research tools and document management systems.
- Capacity to work on-site in Kathmandu and collaborate in a multidisciplinary, fast-paced environment.
