Career Description
SoftUp (Nepal Office) is seeking a creative and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Content Writer to develop content for print, digital, and social media platforms. The ideal candidate possesses a passion for writing and an innovative ability to create successful marketing campaigns and aid in creating company growth.
This position is responsible for working with the CEO/Executives/Directors/Manager to conceive and produce a targeted communication, video scripts, blogs, and other social content.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include
- Brainstorm with the content team for new ideas and strategies for effective content.
- Research markets and industries to create content that is innovative and original.
- Develop content on a wide variety of topics for multiple platforms (such as the website, blogs, articles, and social media).
- Create eye-catching and innovative headlines.
- Create new content to assist marketing campaigns.
- Work closely with marketing team members.
- Optimize content using SEO best practices.
- Collaborate with leaders, creative team, designers, and clients to determine needs and objectives.
- Create compelling, innovative, entertaining, and educational written content that enhances our company message.
- Write for a multitude of formats and across different mobile and print platforms.
- Self-edit work for spelling, grammatical, and punctuation errors before initial submission.
- Conduct interviews with relevant persons to further gain knowledge on a given topic.
- Confirm accuracy of work according to factual evidence.
- Bachelor Degree in English, Mass Communication, and/or Information technology or equivalent (Master Degree is preferred).
- 3+ years of professional writing experience, especially with digital platforms is preferred.
- Familiarity with Astrology, Hindu Culture, and Hindu traditional words.
- Familiarity with keyword placement and SEO
- Portfolio of published work
- Excellent English grammar and writing skills
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Confluence experience is a plus.
