Job Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Evaluation:Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients to understand their psychological, emotional, and social needs.Use standardized assessment tools, interviews, and observation to gather relevant information.
  • Treatment Planning:Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans based on their specific needs, goals, and preferences.Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions to address clients' issues effectively.
  • Individual and Group Therapy:Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to clients, creating a safe and empathetic environment for them to discuss their concerns.Facilitate group therapy sessions when applicable, fostering peer support and interpersonal growth.
  • Crisis Intervention: Assist clients in managing crisis situations, such as suicidal ideation, self-harm, or acute emotional distress.Implement crisis intervention strategies and connect clients with appropriate emergency services as needed.
  • Education and Psychoeducation: Educate clients about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping mechanisms.Conduct psychoeducational workshops or classes on relevant topics to support clients' self-awareness and personal growth.
  • Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including assessment notes, treatment plans, progress notes, and case summaries.Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards regarding client confidentiality.
  • Collaboration and Referrals: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists, social workers, and medical doctors, to provide holistic care for clients.Refer clients to specialized services or resources when necessary, such as addiction treatment programs or support groups.
