Job Summary

The Test Administrator is responsible for ensuring the smooth, secure, and professional administration of examinations and tests at the test centre. The role involves candidate registration and verification, test-day operations, adherence to examination policies and security procedures, and maintaining a positive and professional testing environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Test Administration

  • Conduct examinations and assessments in accordance with the test provider's rules, procedures, and security requirements.
  • Prepare the testing room, equipment, materials, and candidate seating arrangements before each session.
  • Brief candidates on test procedures, rules, and instructions.
  • Monitor candidates throughout the examination to ensure compliance with test regulations.
  • Start, pause, and finish tests according to prescribed procedures.
  • Handle test materials and confidential information securely.

2. Candidate Management

  • Verify candidate identity and required documents before the examination.
  • Check candidate registration details and ensure accurate attendance records.
  • Assist candidates with test-day procedures and respond to routine queries professionally.
  • Maintain a calm, respectful, and supportive environment for all candidates.
  • Manage candidate entry, seating, breaks, and exit procedures as required.

3. Test Security & Compliance

  • Strictly follow examination security, confidentiality, and invigilation procedures.
  • Identify and report any irregularities, suspected malpractice, technical issues, or breaches of test regulations.
  • Ensure prohibited items are not taken into the testing room.
  • Maintain confidentiality of candidate information, test content, and examination materials.
  • Follow incident-reporting procedures whenever required.

4. Test Centre Operations

  • Ensure the testing room is clean, organized, secure, and ready before each session.
  • Check computers, headphones, internet connectivity, CCTV, and other required equipment before testing.
  • Coordinate with the technical/IT team in case of technical issues.
  • Maintain accurate records, checklists, attendance sheets, and examination reports.
  • Assist with daily administrative and operational activities of the test centre.

5. Customer Service

  • Provide professional and courteous service to candidates.
  • Handle candidate concerns and escalate issues to the appropriate supervisor when necessary.
  • Maintain a professional image of the organisation and testing centre.
  • Support candidates while ensuring that test rules and security procedures are not compromised
