Global Dreams operates from its head office in Kathmandu, Nepal, with branch offices in Gujarat and Haryana, India.Role Description The Counselor (South Korea & Europe) will provide detailed guidance to prospective students seeking higher education opportunities in South Korea and European countries. This full-time, on-site role based in Kathmandu involves conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, assessing academic and career goals, and recommending suitable courses, universities, and countries. The Counselor will support students with application procedures, scholarship options, and visa requirements, ensuring accurate documentation and timely submissions. Daily tasks include maintaining up-to-date knowledge of universities, admission criteria, and visa regulations, coordinating with partner institutions, and participating in seminars or information sessions. The role also includes maintaining student records, following up on inquiries, and collaborating with colleagues to deliver a high standard of student service.
Qualifications
- Strong counseling and advisory skills, with the ability to understand student profiles and recommend appropriate academic pathways.
- Knowledge of higher education systems, universities, and visa processes specifically for South Korea and European study destinations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening, clear explanation of procedures, and culturally sensitive interaction.
- Organizational and administrative abilities for handling documentation, tracking applications, and managing multiple student cases simultaneously.
- Proficiency in English; additional language skills (such as Korean or major European languages) are an advantage.
- Comfort with basic office software and online communication tools for record-keeping and virtual coordination.
- Bachelor’s degree in counseling, education, management, social sciences, or a related field; prior experience in study abroad or educational consultancy is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical, non-discriminatory practices and supporting diverse student backgrounds.
