The Role 

The Credit Team Leader is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of a team of Credit Analysts, ensuring workflow efficiency, service quality, and performance outcomes. 

This role plays a key part in driving productivity, maintaining quality standards, and supporting team capability, while working closely with the Credit Manager to implement improvements and uphold credit excellence.  If you’re experienced in the Australian mortgage industry, passionate about coaching others, and ready to grow your leadership career, we want to hear from you. 

Key Responsibilities   

• Coach, support, and lead a team of Credit Associates  
• Monitor daily workflows and ensure smooth operations  
• Provide feedback, mentoring, and regular performance reviews  
• Oversee loan assessments and ensure compliance with lending policies  
• Support brokers with complex scenarios and credit recommendations  
• Manage CRM and lender data entry and documentation  
• Coordinate with the Credit Manager on training and team development  

Who You Are  

• 3+ years of experience in the Australian mortgage industry  
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field  
• Strong knowledge of loan processing, compliance, and credit assessment  
• Experienced with CRM platforms such as Mercury (M5/Nexus), MyCRM, Infynity ApplyOnline, Podium, etc.  
• Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities  
• Effective communicator with a proactive, supportive leadership style  
• Highly organised, time-efficient, and committed to team success
• Genuinely cares for people and sees them grow
