Mechanical Engineer – Non-Woven Carpet Manufacturing PlantCompany: ST Carpets Pvt. Ltd.
Location: Biratnagar, Nepal
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain mechanical machinery and equipment used in carpet production.
- Carry out regular preventive maintenance to ensure smooth and continuous production.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and minimize machine downtime.
- Inspect machines, motors, bearings, belts, rollers, gears, and other mechanical components.
- Coordinate with the production team to identify and resolve machine-related issues.
- Maintain records of machine maintenance, breakdowns, repairs, and spare parts.
- Ensure proper installation, alignment, and functioning of new machinery and equipment.
- Coordinate with external technicians, machine suppliers, and service providers when required.
- Assist in improving machine efficiency, reducing breakdowns, and optimizing production processes.
- Ensure that machinery is operated and maintained according to safety standards.
- Support the management in planning machinery upgrades, replacements, and new equipment installations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2–4 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred.
- Experience with textile, carpet, or other industrial machinery will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work closely with production and maintenance teams.
- Willingness to be based at the Biratnagar manufacturing plant.
