Role Description The Education Counselor: Australia & UK will provide guidance to prospective students on study options, admission requirements, and application processes for institutions in Australia and the UK. This full-time, on-site role based in Kathmandu involves conducting consultations, assessing academic and career objectives, and recommending suitable programs and institutions. The counselor will assist with documentation, application submissions, and visa-related guidance, while maintaining accurate records of student interactions and progress. The role includes organizing and participating in information sessions, seminars, and outreach activities, and collaborating with internal teams to support recruitment targets. The counselor will also stay updated on changing education policies, entry requirements, and scholarship opportunities to provide current and reliable information.
Qualifications
- Strong Educational Consulting and Education sector knowledge, especially related to Australia and UK study pathways.
- Demonstrated Student Counseling and Career Counseling experience, with the ability to guide diverse learners toward suitable programs.
- Excellent Communication skills, including clear spoken and written English; proficiency in local languages is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Management, or a related field; advanced qualifications are a plus.
- Ability to build trust with students and families, handle sensitive information professionally, and work in a target-driven environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail in applications and documentation.
- Prior experience in international education consulting or student recruitment is highly desirable.
