Role Description The Counselor for South Korea will provide tailored guidance to students interested in pursuing higher education opportunities in South Korea. This full-time, on-site role based in Kathmandu involves conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, assessing student profiles, and recommending suitable courses, universities, and pathways. The counselor will support students with admission processes, scholarship options, and basic documentation requirements aligned with Korean institutions and embassy guidelines. Daily responsibilities include maintaining accurate student records, coordinating with university representatives, participating in information sessions and events, and staying updated on South Korean education, visa regulations, and scholarship schemes. The role also requires close collaboration with internal teams to ensure a smooth and informed journey for each student from initial inquiry to enrollment.



Qualifications

  • Strong counseling and advisory skills, including the ability to assess student profiles and provide clear, supportive guidance for South Korea study pathways.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in spoken and written English; knowledge of Korean language or willingness to learn is an added advantage.
  • Organizational and documentation skills to manage applications, maintain accurate records, and coordinate admission and visa-related processes.
  • Awareness of international education systems, preferably with specific understanding of South Korean universities, programs, and scholarship structures.
  • Ability to work on-site in Kathmandu on a full-time basis, collaborate effectively with team members, and adapt to a fast-paced, student-focused environment.
  • Relevant academic background in education, counseling, management, or a related field; prior experience in study abroad consulting or student services is highly desirable.
