Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Video Editor role based in Kathmandu. The Video Editor will be responsible for assembling raw footage, selecting the best takes, and creating compelling video narratives that align with client objectives and brand guidelines. Daily tasks include editing and trimming video content, adding transitions and effects, synchronizing audio, and performing color correction to achieve a consistent visual style. The role also involves collaborating with producers, designers, and other creative team members to incorporate motion graphics and visual elements, ensuring high-quality deliverables across digital platforms. The Video Editor will manage project files, maintain organized workflows, and meet deadlines while adapting to feedback from clients and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Strong video production skills, including planning, shooting oversight, and understanding of the end-to-end production process.
- Proficiency in video editing tools and techniques, with demonstrated experience in Video Editing and Video Color Grading.
- Ability to design and integrate Motion Graphics and basic Graphics to enhance storytelling and brand identity.
- Familiarity with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects or similar).
- Attention to detail, strong visual sense, and ability to maintain consistency with brand guidelines.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, on-site team environment.
- Relevant experience in a creative agency or production house; a portfolio showcasing video and motion work is required.
- Formal training or a degree in Film, Media, Communications, Design, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
