We are looking for an experienced and technically competent Semi-Senior to join our Tax Team. The successful candidate will be managing a portfolio of UK individual clients, prepare and review Self Assessment tax returns, provide personal tax advice, deal with HMRC and handle quarterly MTD ITSA submissions.

Job Description

Manage a portfolio of UK personal tax clients and meet statutory deadlines.
Prepare and review SA100 tax returns and supporting schedules.
Prepare and review tax computations covering employment, self-employment, property, dividends, savings, capital gains, pensions, and foreign income.
Prepare and submit quarterly MTD ITSA updates and support clients with digital record-keeping.
Review work prepared by junior team members and ensure technical accuracy.
Identify tax planning opportunities and provide practical advice.
Deal with HMRC and complex personal tax matters, escalating where necessary.
Communicate directly with clients and manage tax deadlines and payments.
Provide guidance and feedback to junior team members.
Maintain accurate working papers and follow internal quality-control procedures.
Keep up to date with UK tax legislation, HMRC guidance, and MTD ITSA requirements.

Skills And Attributes

ACCA qualified or part-qualified with 1–2+ years of UK practice experience.
Minimum 1 year of UK personal taxation experience in a UK-based outsourcing company.
Strong practical knowledge of UK personal taxation.
Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, FreeAgent, Sage, VT Transaction, and MS Office is desirable.
Excellent attention to detail, communication, organisation, and time-management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Self-motivated, positive, commercially aware, and eager to learn and grow.
