Role Description The Public Area Attendant is a full-time, on-site role based at Hotel Sabrina in Kathmandu. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation of all public spaces, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, elevators, stairways, and outdoor common areas. Daily tasks include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing surfaces, replenishing supplies, and promptly attending to spills or maintenance concerns to ensure a safe environment. The Public Area Attendant also supports guest comfort by responding courteously to requests, reporting lost and found items, and coordinating with housekeeping and front office teams. The role follows established cleaning schedules and safety procedures, adheres to hotel standards, and helps create a welcoming atmosphere aligned with Hotel Sabrina’s premium hospitality.
Qualifications
- Experience in housekeeping, public area cleaning, or a similar role in hotels or hospitality environments.
- Knowledge of basic cleaning techniques, use of cleaning tools and equipment, and safe handling of chemicals.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and presentation.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with guests and team members.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift light to moderate loads, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
- Reliability, punctuality, and ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as required.
- Basic literacy and numeracy; prior experience in a luxury or premium hotel setting is an advantage.
- Understanding of safety, sanitation, and health regulations; familiarity with environmentally responsible cleaning practices is a plus.
