Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Server role based in Kathmandu. The Server is responsible for greeting guests, presenting menus, taking food and beverage orders, and ensuring a positive dining experience from arrival to departure. Daily tasks include serving meals and drinks, answering questions about menu items, handling special requests, and coordinating with kitchen and bar staff to ensure accurate and timely service. The Server processes payments, maintains cleanliness and organization of tables and service stations, and follows health, safety, and hygiene standards. The role also involves resolving guest concerns professionally, upselling menu items when appropriate, and supporting team members during busy service hours.

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact courteously and professionally with diverse guests.
  • Experience in food and beverage service, including order taking, serving, and basic knowledge of menu items and ingredients.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and maintain attention to detail during peak hours.
  • Basic numeracy skills for handling bills, payments, and cash transactions accurately.
  • Knowledge of hygiene, safety, and sanitation practices in a restaurant or hotel setting.
  • Team-oriented mindset, reliability, and willingness to support colleagues across different service areas.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by the hospitality business.
  • Prior experience as a server or in a guest-facing hospitality role is preferred; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
  • Proficiency in English and Nepali is beneficial; additional language skills are an advantage.
