Nexora Commerce — the engine behind Tudoholic

Nexora Commerce Pvt. Ltd. is the company building the technology, data, and operating systems behind Tudoholic — one of Nepal’s largest fashion and lifestyle e-commerce operations.

We run a high-velocity, cash-on-delivery model: products are discovered, sourced from China, imported, quality-checked, and delivered across Nepal at a scale that demands serious operational and engineering rigor. The business is profitable, growing fast, and deeply data-driven — we already build our own internal tools for pricing, profitability, quality scoring, demand intelligence, and fulfillment.

What makes the next phase different is ownership. We are moving from off-the-shelf commerce platforms to our own ERP, our own algorithms, and our own machine-learning models — systems designed specifically for the economics of high-volume, COD, cross-border retail.

The Founder’s Story

Ten years ago, this started as a few hundred orders a day. Today we move roughly a thousand orders every single day across Nepal — cash on delivery, sourced entirely from China, run on a stack we have stretched, bent, and out-engineered well past what it was designed to do.

We are now at the point where the next phase of growth will not come from working the same systems harder. It will come from building our own.

Over the next two to three years we intend to grow from one thousand orders a day to five thousand, and then ten thousand. That is not a marketing ambition — it is an engineering and operations problem. It means a catalog moving toward millions of SKUs, a supplier network approaching a quarter-million sources in China, and decisions about pricing, inventory, demand, and fulfillment that no human team can make fast enough, or often enough, by hand.

So we are building our own. Our own algorithms. Our own models. Our own commerce engine that crunches millions of data points, learns from every order, and corrects itself over time. We will move off the platforms we have outgrown and onto systems we own end to end.

To do that, we are hiring the engineers and operators who will build, own, and improve that engine. This is one of those roles.

What You’d Be Walking Into

• A live system on external infrastructure: Tudoholic Logistics (Docker Compose, Redis, SQLite/Drizzle) and related tooling currently running on subscription/foreign-hosted servers
• Shopify as our storefront and commerce backbone: functioning, but a recurring cost and a data-control constraint across multiple operational areas — not just hosting
• A data sovereignty gap: operational and customer data currently sitting outside infrastructure we control
• A future multi-module ERP (ERP/OMS/IMS/WMS) already in motion with a separate engineering hire, which this role's infrastructure work needs to support from day one
  
  

The Mission

Get us off dependency on external, subscription-priced infrastructure wherever that's a solvable engineering problem — and build the operational foundation (monitoring, module isolation, deployment discipline) that lets each part of our future ERP run smoothly and independently as we shift work off Shopify piece by piece.

What You’ll Own

• Cost & sovereignty assessment, by operational area: map which functions currently depend on the external server vs. Shopify, and for each, produce a cost/control tradeoff — not a single blanket "migrate everything" plan
• Server migration: move infrastructure currently on external/foreign hosting to infrastructure we own or control, with a documented cost model before execution
• Data sovereignty roadmap: identify which customer and operational data can move to infrastructure under our control now, and what depends on the future ERP build to move later
• Module orchestration groundwork: design deployment architecture (containerization, service isolation) so future ERP modules run independently — one module's failure shouldn't cascade to others
• CI/CD & environment setup: for current systems and for the incoming full-stack team building the ERP
• Monitoring, backup, and incident response: for infrastructure you now own, replacing protections a subscription host previously provided
• Shopify dependency documentation: clearly separate what can be reduced now (e.g., app/integration costs, redundant tooling) from what genuinely requires the ERP replacement to be built first — and flag the difference honestly rather than overpromising
  
  

Who You Are

• 5+ years DevOps/SRE/infrastructure, with direct experience migrating a live system off managed/subscription hosting onto owned or colocated infrastructure
• Comfortable owning both cloud-native and physical/colocated infrastructure decisions
• Strong with containerization (Docker required; Kubernetes or equivalent a plus given the multi-module ERP direction)
• Understands the difference between "infra cost" and "platform dependency cost," and won't pretend the second is solvable without the ERP build
• Security-conscious: credential management, access control, data handling for a live system carrying customer and delivery data
  
  

Bonus Points

• Experience with Nepal-based colocation/data center infrastructure specifically
• Background migrating e-commerce operations off a hosted platform (Shopify, BigCommerce, etc.) toward custom infrastructure
• Exposure to logistics/courier API integrations (relevant to our existing Daraz, Pathao, Aramex integrations this role inherits)
  
  

What Success Looks Like

Within 6 months: a documented, area-by-area cost and sovereignty assessment delivered in the first 60 days; the external server migration executed with no reliability regression on live operations; a clear, honest roadmap (not a promise) for what Shopify dependency reduction looks like as ERP modules come online; CI/CD and module-isolation architecture ready before the first ERP module ships.

Every month on external hosting and full Shopify dependency is a month of cost and control we don't get back. The infrastructure this person builds now becomes the foundation the ERP team ships on top of.
