Job Summary:

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, beverages, and light food items while delivering excellent customer service. The role ensures a clean, welcoming café environment and maintains food safety and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages according to company standards
  • Take customer orders and process payments accurately
  • Provide friendly and professional customer service
  • Maintain cleanliness of the café, coffee machines, and workstations
  • Restock ingredients, supplies, and inventory as needed
  • Ensure food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards are followed
  • Recommend menu items and promote special offers
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages
  • Handle customer feedback and resolve minor complaints professionally
  • Support team members during busy hours and ensure smooth café operations
Required Skills:
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of coffee preparation and beverage-making techniques
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong teamwork and multitasking skills
  • Attention to detail and cleanliness
  • Basic cash handling and POS system knowledge
Qualification:
  • Minimum SEE/+2 completed (Hospitality or related field preferred)
Experience:
  • 1–2 years of experience as a Barista is preferred
Salary:
