JOB IDENTITY

Position Title: Senior Full-Time Faculty (MSc Advanced and AI)

Department: Academics

Reports To: Programme Leader or Associate Dean

Location: Trade Tower, Thapathali, Kathmandu

Employment Type: Full-Time

Qualification: Master’s Degree (PhD Preferred)

Experience: More than 5-7 Years in Teaching


JOB SUMMARY

The faculty is responsible for delivering academic programmes. This role involves assisting the Programme Leader in overseeing curriculum development, student support, research activities, and administrative operations. The faculty will work closely with the programme leader and students to ensure the programme's academic excellence and success.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


1.  Academic Delivery         

• Ensure relevant module delivery to UK University standard.

• Assessment and Moderation of the respective Module.

• Regular Classroom Assessments.

• To further support student success, provide frequent workshops on correct referencing practices and the responsible use of AI in academic work.

• Monitor students with low attendance and low performance closely with SSD.

• During student enrollment, work closely with marketing and admissions teams to enroll students.

• Assist the Programme Leader to oversee the curriculum development, review, and implementation processes.

• Ensure the quality and relevance of the programme's academic offerings.

• Foster a collaborative and supportive learning environment for students.

2. Departmental Support  

• Support Programme Leader to recruit, mentor, and support other faculty members in their professional development.

• Participate in Faculty Peer Reviews.

• Facilitate other faculty for departmental collaboration and interdisciplinary research.

3. Student Support

• Ensure the academic and personal well-being of students.

• Advise students on academic matters and career paths.

• Provide support services for students, such as lecturing and counselling.

• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for students.

4. Administrative Operations

• Ensure the TBC website has an up-to-date syllabus and course content every quarter and coordinate with the website team to ensure the same.

• Ensure compliance with university policies and regulations.

• Support and represent the Department on all academic matters.

5. Others
