CFO Cement Cluster

Job Description

Chaudhary Group (CG) is seeking a highly accomplished and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Cement Cluster to lead the financial function of its Cement business operations in Nepal. The CFO will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for driving financial strategy, governance, operational performance, and long-term value creation across the Cement Cluster.

This role requires a seasoned finance leader with strong expertise in manufacturing or industrial sectors, complex cost structures, capital-intensive operations, and strong command over corporate finance, treasury, compliance, and performance management.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial planning & performance management
  
  

Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis for the Cement Cluster. Ensure strong alignment between financial targets and operational execution to drive sustainable business performance.

• Cost & profitability management
  
  

Oversee cost control, margin improvement, and profitability optimization initiatives. Partner with operations to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall financial productivity of the cluster.

• Treasury & capital management
  
  

Manage treasury functions including working capital, cash flow, liquidity, and capital expenditure planning. Ensure optimal allocation of financial resources to support operational needs and growth projects.

• Financial reporting & compliance
  
  

Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting in accordance with NFRS/IFRS and applicable regulatory standards. Maintain transparency and consistency in financial disclosures.

• Governance & risk management
  
  

Strengthen internal controls, governance structures, and risk management frameworks across the cluster to safeguard assets and ensure regulatory compliance.

• Business decision support
  
  

Provide financial insights on pricing, margin analysis, and key business decisions. Act as a strategic partner to support commercial and operational leadership.

• Investment & expansion support
  
  

Support evaluation of expansion projects, capital investments, and strategic initiatives. Provide financial due diligence and structuring support for growth decisions.

• Taxation & regulatory compliance
  
  

Coordinate tax planning, audits, and compliance with relevant authorities, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and efficient financial structuring.

• Leadership & team development
  
  

Build and lead a strong finance team across the Cement Cluster, fostering capability development, accountability, and high-performance culture.

Qualifications & Experience

• CA/CPA/ACCA/CFA or equivalent (MBA Finance preferred)
• 15+ years of progressive finance experience, including senior leadership roles (CFO/Finance Head)
• Strong experience in cement, manufacturing, or heavy industrial sectors preferred
• Expertise in cost accounting, plant finance, and operational finance management
• Strong knowledge of Nepalese taxation and IFRS/NFRS standards
• Proven leadership, analytical thinking, and decision-making capabilities
• High integrity, business acumen, and stakeholder management skills
