Job Description: Project-Based Video Editor

Key Responsibilities

1. Video Editing & Post-Production

  • Edit raw footage into high-quality, engaging video content (e.g., social media ads, brand films, corporate videos, Reels/TikToks, and YouTube content) based on client briefs.
  • Apply advanced editing techniques, including seamless transitions, pacing, audio syncing, and sound design/mixing.
  • Incorporate motion graphics, titles, animations, and lower-thirds to elevate production value.
  • Execute professional color correction and grading to match the specific aesthetic and mood of each client's brand.

2. Client & Brand Alignment

  • Review client briefs thoroughly to ensure the visual tone, pacing, and style align perfectly with the client’s brand identity.
  • Deliver videos optimized for various digital platforms and aspect ratios.
  • Incorporate client feedback efficiently through iterative review rounds while maintaining creative integrity.

3. Workflow & Asset Management

  • Organize and archive project files, raw footage, graphics, and audio assets systematically.
  • Meet strict project milestones and delivery deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Collaborate with the internal production team via project management tools to ensure a smooth asset-handoff workflow.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Software Proficiency: Mastery of industry-standard editing software, specifically Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
  • Experience: 2+ years of video editing experience, preferably within a marketing agency or a fast-paced creative environment handling multiple client accounts.
  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio or show reel demonstrating a wide range of editing styles, storytelling ability, motion graphics, and pacing.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of video formats, codecs, compression standards, and export settings for various digital and broadcast platforms.
  • Audio Savvy: Strong eye and ear for audio design, sound effects (SFX), and music selection that drives the narrative.
