Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Video Editor role based in Kathmandu. The Video Editor will be responsible for editing raw footage into polished videos for social media, campaigns, and other digital channels, ensuring content aligns with brand guidelines and project objectives. Daily tasks include organizing and trimming clips, adding transitions, sound, and basic effects, performing color correction and grading, and collaborating with the creative and marketing teams to translate concepts into engaging visual stories. The role also involves integrating graphics and motion elements, maintaining consistent visual quality across projects, and managing file assets and project archives. The Video Editor will work closely with content creators and strategists to meet deadlines and optimize videos for various platforms and formats.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Video Editing and Video Production, including working with different formats, aspect ratios, and platforms.
- Proficiency in Video Color Grading to ensure consistent visual tone and professional-quality output.
- Ability to create and integrate Motion Graphics and Graphics to enhance storytelling and brand identity.
- Experience with industry-standard editing and design software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop, or similar tools).
- Good understanding of social media video trends, short-form content, and best practices for digital marketing campaigns.
- Strong sense of timing, pacing, visual composition, and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced creative environment, take feedback constructively, and meet deadlines.
- Relevant coursework, certification, or a degree in film, multimedia, design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- A portfolio or showreel demonstrating previous video editing and motion work is required.
