Operations Executive – Retail Supermarket Sector

Location: Assigned Store Locations / Cluster Branches (Ktm/ bkt/ Lalitpur)
Position Summary:
The Operations Executive is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of assigned supermarket branches to ensure smooth store functioning, operational efficiency, sales growth, customer satisfaction, and compliance with company standards. The role acts as a bridge between store-level operations and management, ensuring all assigned branches achieve operational and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Store Operations Management
• Supervise and monitor daily operations of assigned supermarket branches
• Ensure smooth functioning of all departments including grocery, billing, customer service, inventory, and housekeeping.
• Maintain operational standards, SOPs, and company policies across all assigned stores.
• Conduct regular store visits and operational audits.
• Ensure proper opening and closing procedures are followed in all branches.
Sales & Business Performance
• Monitor store sales performance and work towards achieving monthly sales targets.
• Analyze sales reports and identify areas for business improvement.
• Support stores in implementing promotional activities and seasonal campaigns.
• Coordinate with store teams to improve customer footfall and conversion rates.
Team Management
• Supervise Store Managers, Supervisors, and store staff of assigned branches.
• Monitor employee discipline, attendance, grooming, and productivity.
• Coordinate with HR regarding manpower requirements, staff shortages, and employee performance.
• Support onboarding and operational training of new employees.
• Ensure effective teamwork and communication among branches.
Inventory & Stock Control
• Monitor stock availability and ensure proper inventory management.
• Minimize stock loss, damage, expiry, and shrinkage.
• Coordinate with warehouse and procurement teams for stock replenishment.
• Ensure proper stock display, merchandising, and FIFO practices. Customer Service & Compliance • Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained in all stores.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve operational issues promptly.
• Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards are maintained.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and legal requirements.
Reporting & Coordination
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports to the General Manager.
• Report operational challenges, branch performance, and improvement plans to management.
• Coordinate with HR, Accounts, Procurement, Marketing, and other departments for smooth operations
. • Assist management in implementing new operational strategies and expansion plans.
Required Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in retail supermarket operations or multi-branch retail management.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Good knowledge of supermarket operations, inventory control, and customer service.
• Ability to manage multiple branches effectively.
• Strong communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and retail operational reporting.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle operational challenges efficiently.
