Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Search Engine Optimization Specialist role based in Kathmandu. The SEO Specialist will manage day-to-day optimization of Kunyo.co’s website, including conducting keyword research, implementing on-page SEO best practices, and performing regular SEO audits to identify technical and content-related improvements. The role involves developing and executing link-building strategies, monitoring web analytics to track performance, and preparing reports on key SEO metrics. The specialist will collaborate with content, design, and development teams to ensure SEO requirements are integrated into site structure, product pages, and marketing campaigns. The position also requires staying up to date with search engine algorithms, industry trends, and competitor activities to identify new growth opportunities.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in keyword research and on-page SEO, including meta tags, headings, internal linking, and content optimization.
- Experience conducting comprehensive SEO audits, identifying technical issues, and coordinating with developers to implement fixes.
- Proficiency with link-building strategies and outreach to acquire high-quality, relevant backlinks.
- Hands-on experience with web analytics and SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar).
- Solid understanding of e-commerce SEO, site architecture, and user experience best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team on-site in Kathmandu.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Knowledge of the gaming industry and online retail in Nepal is an advantage.
