Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Quality Control Assistant based in Kathmandu. The QC Assistant will be responsible for ensuring that all knitwear products meet defined quality standards throughout the production process. The role involves supporting inspection activities, identifying defects, and ensuring compliance with buyer and export requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Conduct inline and final inspections of garments to ensure quality standards are met
- Identify and report fabric, stitching, and finishing defects
- Check measurements as per approved spec sheets
- Maintain QC reports and inspection records in Excel
- Coordinate with production and merchandising teams for issue resolution
- Ensure adherence to AQL and buyer quality requirements
Other Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Textile/Garment/Fashion Technology (preferred) or relevant experience in similar industry
- 1-2 years of experience in garment/knitwear QC
- A Strong attention to detail with basic knowledge of knitwear and garment construction
- Understanding of QC processes (AQL, inline & final inspection) and spec sheets
- Good communication and basic reporting skills and knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word
- Experience in inline and final inspections
- Ability to identify fabric, stitching, and finishing defects
