Job Description
Job DescriptionOur Client, JHS Analytic Traders is seeking a detail-oriented Electronic and Electrical Engineer to lead the installation, maintenance, and repair of our laboratory and medical equipment. You will be the technical backbone of our service department, ensuring that critical medical technology remains operational.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation & Commissioning: Lead the site preparation and installation of high-value laboratory instruments at client locations across Nepal.
- Preventive Maintenance: Execute scheduled maintenance protocols to ensure equipment longevity and compliance with international standards
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose complex electronic and mechanical failures at the component level and perform necessary repairs or part replacements.
- Technical Training: Provide basic operational and first-line maintenance training to lab technicians and end-users.
- Reporting: Maintain detailed service logs, installation reports, and inventory records for spare parts using digital reporting tools.
- Tender Support: Assist the procurement team by reviewing technical specifications and evaluating the "After-Sales Service" requirements for government and donor-funded tenders.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
2–4 years of experience in the service and repair of medical or laboratory equipment is highly preferred.
Technical Knowledge
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electronic circuit diagrams and schematics.
- Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Familiarity with IT networking for instruments requiring PC integration and LIS (Laboratory Information System) connectivity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Willingness to travel to hospital sites within and outside the Kathmandu Valley.
- A valid two-wheeler driving license is mandatory.
