About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Credit Analyst with at least 2 years of relevant experience in the Australian financial services or lending sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing credit applications, evaluating financial documents, and ensuring compliance with Australian lending regulations.

This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a sound understanding of Australian credit policies and responsible lending obligations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and analyse loan applications including home loans, personal loans, and business loans
  • Review financial statements, tax returns, payslips, bank statements, and credit reports
  • Evaluate borrower capacity, serviceability, and risk profile
  • Conduct comprehensive credit risk assessments in line with Australian lending standards
  • Ensure compliance with NCCP Act and responsible lending guidelines
  • Prepare detailed credit assessment reports and recommendations
  • Liaise with brokers, lenders, relationship managers, and clients for additional documentation
  • Identify potential risks and provide mitigation recommendations
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM and loan processing systems
  • Stay updated on Australian lending policies, interest rates, and regulatory changes


Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Credit Analyst, Loan Processor, or similar role
  • Experience in Australian mortgage or lending environment preferred
  • Strong understanding of Australian credit policies and compliance requirements
  • Knowledge of serviceability calculations and financial analysis
  • Ability to interpret financial statements and credit reports
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and CRM systems


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • Experience with Australian lenders’ platforms (e.g., ApplyOnline, Mercury, etc.)
  • Understanding of residential and commercial lending processes
