Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Payroll Specialist at Hexa Business Shared Services in Kathmandu. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for payroll administration, garnishments, payroll services, payroll taxes, and payroll processing on a routined basis. Detailed responsibility:
Payroll Processing
- Enter contract details into the system
- Liaise with Business Team for monthly payroll documents
- Ensure correct entry based on the checklist by Business Team
- Generate Payroll file, validate with business team and submit to finance for approval.
- Ensure contracts are obtained and maintained at all times.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal payroll laws and regulations.
- Prepare payroll-related reports, including journal entries for the finance department.
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and audit payroll processes regularly.
Systems Management:
- Manage and update payroll systems with employee information (e.g., new hires, terminations, salary changes).
- Collaborate with HR and IT to ensure seamless integration of payroll and HRIS systems.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes and enhance accuracy.
- Support payroll system upgrades and the implementation of new tools or technologies.
Qualifications
- Payroll Administration and Payroll Processing skills
- Garnishments and Payroll Taxes knowledge
- Experience in Payroll Services
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in calculations
- Knowledge of relevant payroll laws and regulations
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in payroll software and MS Excel
- Certification in Payroll Administration is a plus
