Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Payroll Specialist at Hexa Business Shared Services in Kathmandu. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for payroll administration, garnishments, payroll services, payroll taxes, and payroll processing on a routined basis. Detailed responsibility:


Payroll Processing

  • Enter contract details into the system
  • Liaise with Business Team for monthly payroll documents
  • Ensure correct entry based on the checklist by Business Team
  • Generate Payroll file, validate with business team and submit to finance for approval.
  • Ensure contracts are obtained and maintained at all times.


Compliance and Reporting:

  • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal payroll laws and regulations.
  • Prepare payroll-related reports, including journal entries for the finance department.
  • Reconcile payroll discrepancies and audit payroll processes regularly.


Systems Management:

  • Manage and update payroll systems with employee information (e.g., new hires, terminations, salary changes).
  • Collaborate with HR and IT to ensure seamless integration of payroll and HRIS systems.


Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes and enhance accuracy.
  • Support payroll system upgrades and the implementation of new tools or technologies.


Qualifications

  • Payroll Administration and Payroll Processing skills
  • Garnishments and Payroll Taxes knowledge
  • Experience in Payroll Services
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in calculations
  • Knowledge of relevant payroll laws and regulations
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in payroll software and MS Excel
  • Certification in Payroll Administration is a plus
