Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, visionary, and results-driven Country Sales Head to spearhead our market entry and establish LA Decor as a premier brand in Nepal's building materials sector. This is a strategic leadership role that will shape our commercial presence from the ground up, with future responsibilities expanding to international markets. The ideal candidate will combine deep industry knowledge with entrepreneurial drive and exceptional leadership capabilities.

Strategic Market Development (30%)

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for introducing LA Decor's product range to the Nepali market
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify key customer segments, market trends, and competitive landscape
  • Create detailed short-term and long-term sales forecasts and business plans with actionable milestones
  • Establish pricing strategies that balance market penetration objectives with profitability goals
  • Identify and evaluate potential export opportunities in neighboring countries and develop phased international expansion plans
  • Collaborate with product development teams to ensure offerings meet local market needs and preferences

Sales Organization Development (25%)

  • Build, train, and lead a high-performing sales team across multiple regions of Nepal
  • Establish effective sales processes, CRM systems, and performance management frameworks
  • Develop comprehensive training programs to ensure product knowledge excellence among the sales force
  • Implement performance incentive structures that drive results while maintaining ethical sales practices
  • Create a sales culture focused on customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and market leadership
  • Establish clear KPIs and reporting mechanisms to track and improve sales performance

Channel Strategy & Management (20%)

  • Design and implement an optimized distribution strategy leveraging both direct sales and channel partnerships
  • Identify, recruit, and develop relationships with key distributors, dealers, and retail partners across Nepal
  • Establish channel partner programs including training, incentives, and support systems
  • Develop specialized approaches for different market segments (retail, project, institutional, etc.)
  • Create and manage showroom and display strategies for maximum market impact
  • Balance channel mix to ensure broad market coverage while managing channel conflicts

Customer Relationship Management (15%)

  • Establish relationships with key decision-makers in major construction companies, architecture firms, and interior design businesses
  • Develop strategies to position LA Decor products with influencers in the construction and design community
  • Create and implement customer retention and loyalty programs
  • Oversee resolution of major customer issues and use feedback to drive product and service improvements
  • Represent LA Decor at industry events, trade shows, and professional associations
  • Develop tailored approaches for securing large-scale project opportunities

Marketing & Brand Development (10%)

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop compelling value propositions and brand messaging
  • Guide the creation of sales collateral, product catalogs, and technical materials
  • Oversee the implementation of market-specific promotional activities and campaigns
  • Develop strategies for building brand awareness and preference in a new market
  • Coordinate digital marketing efforts to generate qualified leads and support the sales process
  • Leverage customer testimonials and success stories to build market credibility
Job Specification
  • Masters's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred
  • Minimum 10+ years of progressive sales experience, with at least 6 years in a senior sales leadership role
  • Proven track record of successfully launching new products or entering new markets in Nepal
  • Experience in building materials, construction products, or related industries
  • Demonstrated ability to build, train, and lead high-performing sales teams
  • Strong understanding of distribution channel dynamics in Nepal
  • Experience developing and executing strategic sales plans with measurable outcomes
  • Excellent relationship-building abilities with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in sales forecasting, budgeting, and P&L management
  • Fluency in Nepali and English, both written and verbal

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience in PVC products, interior finishes, or architectural materials
  • Background in both B2B and B2C sales environments
  • Experience selling to construction companies, architects, and interior designers
  • International sales experience, particularly in South Asian markets
  • Track record of successfully implementing CRM systems and sales technologies
  • Experience in joint venture environments or with international companies operating in Nepal
  • Knowledge of export procedures, international trade regulations, and customs requirements
