Job Summary
Kora Holidays is seeking an International Ticketing Officer to issue, manage, and coordinate airline bookings and travel-related ticketing for international itineraries. This role is ideal for candidates with at least 1+ year of ticketing experience who can ensure accurate reservations, timely confirmations, and smooth passenger travel flows.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, issue, and reissue international airline tickets based on confirmed bookings, fare rules, and passenger requirements.
- Handle airline PNR management, including ticketing requests, schedule changes, name corrections, and required passenger data updates.
- Coordinate with airlines and suppliers to resolve ticketing issues such as ticket status discrepancies, waitlist processing, and payment or documentation holds.
- Verify ticket documents and travel itineraries for accuracy, including passenger names, passport details, booking classes, and fare conditions.
- Process cancellations, refunds, exchanges, and rebooking actions in line with airline policies and BSP/IATA-related procedures (where applicable).
- Communicate with customers and internal teams to confirm travel details, provide updates, and manage exceptions quickly and accurately.
- Maintain organized records of issued tickets, transaction status, and pending cases using internal tracking tools or ticketing systems.
Requirements
- Airline Ticketing — 1+ year of hands-on experience issuing international airline tickets, handling exchanges/cancellations, and applying fare rules accurately.
- Ticketing Systems Proficiency — working knowledge of airline ticketing/booking platforms (e.g., GDS or airline portals) to manage PNRs and ticket issuance reliably.
- Travel and Tourism — understanding of international travel processes, travel document basics, and how itineraries affect ticketing outcomes.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills — able to confirm passenger details, coordinate with airlines/suppliers, and resolve issues professionally and clearly.
- Education — Bachelor’s degree in Travel/Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Customer and booking accuracy — strong ability to double-check passenger data (name spelling, passport details, dates) to prevent ticketing errors and rework.
- Knowledge of airline policies — familiarity with ticketing timelines, refund/exchange conditions, and standard airline documentation requirements.
Nice to Have
- Experience with international group/charter ticketing or multi-passenger itinerary handling.
- Prior experience working with BSP/airline accounting workflows or internal reconciliation for ticket transactions.
- Familiarity with common travel service coordination tasks (visa-linked itinerary verification, transfer coordination, or itinerary amendments).
