Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Head to lead and manage all aspects of production operations in our edible oil manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal efficiency, maintain high product quality, enforce safety standards, and drive continuous improvement to achieve the companys operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Management
- Develop and oversee production plans to meet market demand while optimizing resources.
- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets within cost and quality standards.
- Monitor production KPIs and take corrective actions as necessary.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety standards and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with QA teams to maintain consistent product quality.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions for non-conformities.
Process Optimization & Cost Control
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce wastage.
- Control operational costs without compromising safety or quality.
- Maximize utilization of machinery and manpower.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, motivate, and supervise production teams (shift supervisors, operators, technicians).
- Conduct training programs to enhance skills and safety awareness.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Maintenance Coordination
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Reduce downtime through proactive equipment monitoring.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies and government regulations.
- Promote safe work practices and conduct regular safety drills.
Job Specification
- Bachelors in Mechanical / Chemical / Industrial Engineering (Masters preferred).
- 15+ years of experience in edible oil production or FMCG food manufacturing, with at least 8 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of oil refining, solvent extraction, and packaging operations.
- Hands-on experience in production planning, inventory control, and ERP systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
