Job Description
Sundar Dhoka Saathi Sewa (SDSS) is a registered Non-Government Organization in the Lalitpur district that aims to make positive changes in children and people with disabilities, people suffering from specific health difficulties. It has other different projects to meet the immediate needs of a most marginalized group.
Currently, we are seeking a competitive, energetic, motivated, and dynamic professional with strong leadership, coordination and Implementation skills to lead and effectively manage these two important projects:
Disaster Response Coordinator 1- Flood Response
At the same time, following the devastating Bhotekoshi flood and disaster, SDSS is developing a three-year Relief, Rehabilitation and Recovery Program to support affected communities beyond immediate emergency relief. The program will focus on coordinated humanitarian response, rehabilitation, restoration of livelihoods, disability inclusion, community recovery, and long-term resilience.
Duty Station: Rasuwa, with frequent travel to disaster affected areas.
Qualification & Experience:
Master’s degree in Disaster Management, Public Health, Development Studies, Humanitarian Studies, Social Sciences, Emergency Management, or a relevant field is preferred.
Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and substantial practical experience in disaster response and humanitarian program may also be considered.
Strong experience in project coordination, disaster response, program implementation, government and stakeholder coordination, monitoring, reporting, and team supervision will be an advantage.
Candidates with strong leadership, communication, coordination, and field-level problem-solving skills will be given priority.
