Position: Assistant Manager- Finance and Account

Location: Corporate Office, Gairidhara, Kathmandu

Position Overview:

Shaurya Cement Industries Limited is seeking a dynamic, result-oriented, and experienced professional to join our Finance & Accounts team as Assistant Manager – Finance & Account. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting, costing, taxation, and financial reporting expertise, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting, Costing & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate books of accounts in SAP/ERP systems.

  • Prepare monthly MIS reports, quarterly financial statements, and annual financial statements.

  • Prepare product-wise cost sheets and profitability analysis reports.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

  • Review journal entries, ledger scrutiny, and account reconciliations.

  • Monitor cement and clinker production costs, including raw materials, fuel, power, packing, and manufacturing expenses.

  • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.

  • Review and improve accounting procedures and internal controls.

Inventory & Stores Control

  • Monitor inventory valuation of raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished goods in SAP.

  • Coordinate physical stock verification and reconcile inventory records with SAP.

  • Analyze slow-moving and obsolete inventory and recommend corrective actions.

Taxation & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with VAT, Income Tax, TDS, and Excise Duty regulations.

  • Ensure timely filing of statutory returns and compliance requirements.

  • Coordinate tax audits, assessments, and statutory audits.

Team Management

  • Supervise, train, and guide team members.

  • Allocate work responsibilities and monitor team performance.

  • Support and mentor subordinates in achieving departmental objectives.

  • Ensure departmental efficiency, compliance, and process discipline.

Qualification & Experience

  • Qualified CA with a minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience, OR

  • Semi-Qualified CA with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

  • Prior experience in the manufacturing industry will be highly preferred.

  • Must be willing to undertake frequent travel to the factory located in Mirchaiya, Siraha.
